LEAVING THE COMFORT ZONE

I participated in a workshop with other students of Burg Giebichenstein
University of Art and Design Halle and Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design in
collaboration with Sven Voelker. At the MADE (www.made-blog.com) in Berlin we
worked for ten days, willing to leave our comfort zone and deal with the topic of
still life in unexpected and unfamiliar ways. I questioned the life and death of things
and asked myself, how dead things would look like. Finally I killed some objects and
made it look like suicide. By collecting stuff I created a world consisting of small
found objects, the deer heaven. The results were published in SOME MAGAZINE #1 Spring 2011.
